Empowering aerospace with data-driven insights
Discover how independent intelligence helps aerospace professionals solve challenges, optimize operations, and make smarter decisions.
Solving the biggest challenges in aerospace

Volatile demand, uneven recovery and shifting aircraft utilization have made long‑cycle planning far riskier. Internal data explains what has already happened – while the market is moving elsewhere.
When aerospace organisations wait for certainty, decisions arrive late: production and capacity drift out of sync, capital is committed too slowly or in the wrong places, and advantage shifts to those who moved earlier.
How Cirium helps:
Independent fleet, utilization and traffic insights reveal emerging demand before it reaches your order book or hangar – enabling earlier, more confident planning decisions.

Most aerospace organizations have deep insight into their own portfolios, but limited visibility into how aircraft are actually being used across the wider global fleet.
Without that external view, risks surface quietly and opportunities only become obvious once competition intensifies – when differentiation and margin are hardest to defend.
How Cirium helps:
A neutral, global picture of fleet behaviour, utilization and transitions helps teams see beyond internal programs and act on market signals others miss.

Maintenance events, shop visits and parts demand don’t appear overnight – they build through utilisation pressure, downtime and operational change.
Relying on customer notifications or historical sales data forces reactive decisions, leading to unplanned downtime, stock imbalance and lost commercial opportunity.
How Cirium helps:
Tail‑level utilization and ground intelligence expose demand early, allowing capacity, inventory and sales efforts to move ahead of the peak.

Pricing, guarantees, PBH contracts and sustainability claims face growing scrutiny from customers, regulators and investors – and internal assumptions alone no longer carry enough weight.
Organisations either absorb hidden risk or become overly cautious, protecting short‑term certainty at the expense of long‑term competitiveness.
How Cirium helps:
Independent values, utilization and emissions analytics provide credible, audit‑ready evidence to support confident, defensible decisions.

Rolls-Royce’s business is about service, and keeping aircraft flying with our engines on them. To do that successfully, we want to avoid surprises for customers while managing costs. We wanted an experienced partner to help further develop our data collection capabilities.
We needed a completely autonomous data set and the independence of FlightGlobal’s data was the attraction. At Rolls-Royce, we are keen to pioneer novel uses of data, and we are delighted this is an industry first.

Why Cirium
Independent aerospace intelligence for decisions that carry real risk
Aerospace organizations are committing capital, capacity and credibility in a market that moves faster than long‑cycle planning. Cirium brings together independent aircraft values, real‑world utilization, ground events and emissions analytics to show where risk and opportunity are forming – early enough to act, and with evidence you can defend.
Act on signals before the market reacts
Utilization shifts and ground events reveal emerging maintenance and aftermarket demand before it appears in orders, contracts or historical reports – helping you prepare while others are still responding.
Defend commercial decisions with independent evidence
Pricing, guarantees, PBH exposure and asset strategy are backed by independent aircraft values and lease rates, grounded in market reality – not internal assumptions or programme bias.
Support credibility where scrutiny is rising
Aircraft‑ and flight‑level audit‑ready emissions insights help substantiate sustainability claims and regulatory reporting with data that stands up to external challenge.
See what’s forming – and act while it still matters.

Frequently Asked Questions
A: Cirium provides comprehensive fleet data covering global fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft. This includes details on airframes, engines, APUs, maintenance contracts, OEMs, and events like leasing, buying, and accidents. The data allows for a 360-degree view of an aircraft from its birth to retirement, including its configuration, weight, and operational history.
A: Cirium’s fleet database goes back to the 1950s for commercial aircraft, providing a wide variety of historical fleet data. Schedules data also has significant historical depth, going back over 20 years.
A: Cirium tracks where aircraft are on the ground and how long they are there for, using satellite ADS-B data. By identifying relationships between MRO providers and operators and applying filters, they can determine if an aircraft was there for a C-check or heavy check with high accuracy. This data is then used to forecast the next maintenance check.
A: Yes, Cirium tracks information related to OEMs, including delivery schedules, cancellations, current fleet, backlog, and order books. They also track the “first flight” of aircraft using their satellite network, which gives an approximation of expected delivery levels.
