A: Cirium provides comprehensive fleet data covering global fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft. This includes details on airframes, engines, APUs, maintenance contracts, OEMs, and events like leasing, buying, and accidents. The data allows for a 360-degree view of an aircraft from its birth to retirement, including its configuration, weight, and operational history.

A: Cirium’s fleet database goes back to the 1950s for commercial aircraft, providing a wide variety of historical fleet data. Schedules data also has significant historical depth, going back over 20 years.

A: Cirium tracks where aircraft are on the ground and how long they are there for, using satellite ADS-B data. By identifying relationships between MRO providers and operators and applying filters, they can determine if an aircraft was there for a C-check or heavy check with high accuracy. This data is then used to forecast the next maintenance check.

A: Yes, Cirium tracks information related to OEMs, including delivery schedules, cancellations, current fleet, backlog, and order books. They also track the “first flight” of aircraft using their satellite network, which gives an approximation of expected delivery levels.
