Aviation leaders are making high-value decisions with too many disconnected signals
Every day, businesses are making aviation-specific decisions worth millions of dollars.
- Where is demand growing or weakening?
- What markets present the greatest opportunity?
- How will fleet availability, utilization and aircraft deliveries impact future performance?
- What effect will geopolitical events, economic uncertainty or changing industry dynamics have on growth and profitability?
The challenge isn’t access to information. It’s turning fragmented market data, industry updates and economic signals into a clear understanding of what is happening, why it’s happening and what it means for your business.

August’s aviation market highlights
- Cirium data shows that 2026 net orders for Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft were 31% higher through the last six months than during the same period last year. After recent strong sales volumes by both OEMs, combined 2026 orders for the year-to-date stand at 1,425 net and 1,536 gross. Airbus’s share of 2026 gross orders versus Boeing rose to 71% at end-July after a strong sales month.
- The Middle East conflict has significantly reduced the airline industry’s growth in 2026, with global cumulative capacity (ASKs) only 1.2% higher than a year ago, with capacity for Middle East carriers this year down 13.5%. Meanwhile, the average total daily passenger jet fuel uplift, which declined by around eight points during hostilities (to be ~4% down vs 2025), had recovered to last year’s level in July.
- This month’s focus: H1 commercial aircraft deliveries. Volumes have recovered strongly to be just 5% below the industry’s half-year peak in 2018 (681 aircraft). The share that operating lessors held of new deliveries direct from OEMs rose four points in H1 2026 over full-year 2025, driven by a 10-point increase in the share at Boeing (from 21% to 31%).
