GLOBAL OTP SUMMARY June 2025

The Middle East and Africa, while contributing only 14% to global flight cancellations, witnessed an almost 200% increase in cancellations, attributed to heightened geopolitical tensions within the region. Asia-Pacific flight cancellations decreased by 5% in June, dropping from 24,603 to 23,326. Meanwhile, North America saw a 32% increase in flight cancellations, largely due to severe thunderstorms and flash flooding, which negatively impacted the On-Time performance of the region’s top airlines.
